Still a lot of steelhead to fish yo on the muskegon river. Some spawing and a lot of drop backs. trout opener and catch and re least Bass season opens April 28th  along with the walleye opener were looking forward to that.

Spring Steelhead fishing

Hurray the air temps are rising and the fish are on the bite. Few days left to fish for Walleye, and are the Walleye on the bite. WALLEYE SEASON CLOSES MARCH 15

Steelhead are starting to spawn. Been a very good winter to fish for Steelhead and Trout. Water temps are rising now and the Steelhead and trout are becoming more active.

end of January Steelhead fishing in Michigan

Is it really the end of January. just a few snow falls  large enough to shovel. Fishing have been good The Grand river was doing well, now have some ice flow. But the Muskegon and Manistee rivers are open and fishing well. Fly, spawn and pluging all putting fish in the boat.

Spring Trout And Steelhead trips are booking well  Still have dates open

Muskegon river steelhead, manistee river st joe river

Manistee River: Has good numbers of steelhead all the way up to Tippy Dam. Boat anglers are back-trolling with spoons or plugs. Some are fly fishing while others are drifting small jigs with spawn or wax worms.




Muskegon River: Is producing some nice steelhead below Croton Dam. Some are casting small spoons or spinners while others are floating spawn or flies.
