mild December weather improved fishing

Mild December temps and rivers levels back to near normal. A nice improvement Muskegon river Is fishing better, taking more Steelhead now and trout fishing has improved.
The Grand Rivers is giving up Steelhead and Brown Trout, again water level on the Grand is near normal,
The Mainstee river near Tippy Dam. Very good Trout fishing and Steelhead are hitting Plugs.

Salmon fishing Sept 2012

small mouth bass fishing continues to be very good and improving. But Salmon fishing is what many are doing. and with much success. There are not many Salmon on Gravel spawning, but there are a lot of Salmon staging in holes just below gravel runs. Strong thunder shower to the north yesterday afternoon and high temps in the 60s this week, will have Salmon spawning this week. I have seen some nice Steelhead and Brown trout in the river this past week. Didn't land and Steelhead or Browns this weekend, but I'm thinking we will this week.
